Description

The Cloud Scale Protection team has a charter to ship and support data protection and threat resistance security capabilities at cloud scale. You will have unique opportunity to contribute to design and development of server and client components Microsoft Attestation services. We are seeking a Software Engineer 2 for software design and development skills to implement security services for the Azure platform. You will be working in a collaborative environment to build and deliver highly-available, distributed services end-to-end that integrate with core Azure components like Hyper-V, Azure OS, Fabric Controller, and Monitoring.

This is a unique role that provides an opportunity to:

• Build and deliver highly-available, distributed services end-to-end that integrate with core Azure components

• Work on platform security technologies like Secure Boot, disk encryption, and code integrity.

• Work on Open Source Software (OSS) technologies.

• Work in an agile / Dev-Ops environment.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing and shipping software/services.

• Willingness to continuously learn and solve ambiguous problems

• Strong coding and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated debugging skills.Familiarity with Linux operating system and contributions to open source software projects.

• Prior experience in working on large scale distributed systems

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
