As a Software Engineer II in the Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs Engineering team, you will design, build, and scale AI-powered solutions that automate legal workflows and enable agentic experiences across enterprise systems. You will leverage technologies such as Azure AI, Copilot, and modern application frameworks to deliver intelligent, compliant, and high-impact platforms in partnership with product, legal, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product, legal, and engineering stakeholders to understand user requirements and translate them into scalable AI-driven solutions for legal workflows.Design and develop features leveraging Azure AI, Copilot technologies, and agentic frameworks to automate document processing, decision flows, and user interactions.Contribute to system design, architecture, and technical specifications, identifying dependencies and ensuring alignment with platform and compliance standards.Implement high-quality, maintainable code for services and features, reusing and extending existing components where applicable.Break down complex work into manageable tasks, contribute to sprint planning, and provide accurate effort estimations.Act as a Designated Responsible Individual for services, monitoring system health, responding to incidents, and ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.Continuously improve engineering practices by staying current with advancements in AI, Copilot, and cloud technologies, and driving improvements in observability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and modern application development practices.Experience with Azure AI, LLM-based applications, or Copilot/agent-based solutions.Experience working in distributed systems, microservices, or scalable platform architecture.Experience with prompt engineering, orchestration patterns, or AI evaluation frameworks.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100.00 - $202,200.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800.00 - $219,200.00 per year.
