As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and support features that enable confidential computing for Azure customers primarily focusing on Performance analysis, improvements and enhancements. You will help customers achieve the highest levels of privacy and security by delivering technology and solutions that protect data in use, complementing existing protections for data at rest and in transit. This role offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in cloud infrastructure, operating at scale, and technologies that secure the cloud.

Responsibilities

Identify and address performance issues related to delivering confidential computing solutions.Find performance opportunities for improvement through internal testing as well as by working directly with Azure internal and external customers to understand their use cases. Collaborate with teams across Microsoft and with external partners to deliver performance optimizations for our customers. Ensures appropriate continuous feedback loops measuring customer value, usage patterns, and other actionable metrics of value are incorporated.Develops reusable code and leverages existing code and toolsContributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.Shares learnings and identified solutions from investigations with the team and owns for some design decisions.Other

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.OR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications:

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
