Description
OverviewThe Commerce+Ecosystems (C+E) division within Microsoft plays a pivotal role in driving accelerated cloud adoption and customer success for enterprises and partners. This division is responsible for a wide range of functions that support Microsoft's key businesses, such as Azure, Office 365, and Xbox.
Overall, the Commerce+Ecosystems division is integral to Microsoft's strategy of leveraging AI to enhance customer and partner experiences, drive business growth, and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
This position will be in the Partner Foundations Engineering team responsible for building the platform and infrastructure services that power the Partner Portal (partner.microsoft.com), Partner AI Assistant and Partner Enrollment. This is a very visible role with high impact where all the components you build will be used by our entire ecosystem of internal and external stakeholders. As a Software Engineer in this team, you will have the opportunity to explore and innovate using cutting-edge technologies like Azure, OpenAI & LLMs, Data & ML and drive business processes and contribute to strategy and broader vision. You will be working on services that are built from the ground up and influence the design and architecture of our services.
Successful candidates should have a passion for UX and proven experience developing cloud services. They should also exhibit various attributes which will enhance their ability to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities
Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scaleEmbody our culture and values.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs):
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs):
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with4+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript or PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 2+ years technical engineering experience in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Experience working on AI Technologies like GPT, Open AI, LLMs.Experience building and working with scalable Web Services, REST APIs with NoSQL and/or SQL based backend data store.Experience in designing, developing, and shipping software solutions on a Cloud services platform (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud etc.)
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
