Overview

Come build the platform that powers Microsoft’s Partner Ecosystem! In Partner Center & Marketplace, a core part of Microsoft’s Commerce + Ecosystems division, you’ll help deliver the foundational data processing services that enable our partners to thrive as they build, publish, sell, and grow with Microsoft and help customers discover and deploy first and third-party solutions.

You’ll leverage GitHub Copilot, and the latest Generative AI models as you work across APIs, big data, services, and user experiences that operate on a global scale. Your role will be key to making it simpler, more secure, and more intelligent for partners to do business with Microsoft.

You will join the Rewards Core Platform team, where you’ll engineer and operate real-time data solutions that enable accurate, timely, and secure incentive payouts for Microsoft Partners. The work will focus on optimizing large-scale data pipelines and delivering trusted insights that support partner success and drive operational excellence across the ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications (RQs/MQs)

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Scala or PythonOR equivalent experience.Industry experience with applying AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and large language models (LLMs) such as GPT or Claude Sonnet.2+ years experience designing and building data pipelines using Spark-based technologies (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, or similar), with good understanding of SQL fundamentals.2+ years experience maintaining and operating data processing services in a production environment.Other Requirements

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
