Want to work with a high performing team that delivers impact across Microsoft? The Microsoft Red Team Intelligence team is looking for a Software Engineer II for our internal security graph.
The CISO Org is Microsoft’s central cybersecurity authority, accountable for managing and prioritizing cybersecurity risk across the company. The Microsoft Red Team is responsible for finding and demonstrating risk to proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities. The Microsoft Red Team Intelligence Team is a specialized unit within the broader Red Team that focuses on generating actionable intelligence to support adversarial risk analysis. We provide data and insight to discover, assess, and track potential security and privacy risks exploitable by malicious actors, including Microsoft Red Team breach operators.
As a Software Engineer II, you will work with the team to design, implement, and validate insights, analytics, and automation capabilities that enables breach risk analysis at scale. You will enable the red team breach operators to operate more efficiently by providing framework and terrain for reconnaissance. Your work will help defenders to understand and prioritize remediation by providing automated vulnerability and impact assessments. You will deliver high quality engineering solutions while enabling Microsoft to strengthen our defenses.

-Development of automation that contributes to the red team’s objectives & security outcomes
-Design, implement, validate, monitor solutions that systematize red team analytics & insights
-Create and implement code that is highly extensible, secure, reliable, and maintainable
-Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to enable cross-organizational red team intelligence sharing & security awareness
Qualifications
Required Qualification:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience. 1+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role or red team experience1+ years of experience working with graph technologies
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
