Description
Microsoft is seeking individuals for the Artificial Itelligence (A)I Foundry Agents Platform team in the CoreAI group. This team is developing a platform that enables both Microsoft teams and third-party customers to create Artificial Intelligence models and applications. This position involves contributing to advancements in AI as the industry evolves.As a Software Engineer II in the Pipelines team in AI Foundry Agents Platform, you will play a crucial role in developing a cloud service that enables AI application developers and data scientists to author and process comprehensive AI Agent for Enterprise applications.

Develop secure, maintainable code and conduct proactive debugging.Review code for quality, test coverage, and compliance.Contribute to architecture and design decisions.Build and execute test strategies using AI tools.Apply engineering best practices for performance and scalability.Ensure security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.Plan and deploy features safely with rollback strategies.Run experiments and define success metrics.Support live site operations and improve monitoring.Collaborate to understand and meet user requirements.Embody Microsoft's Culture and Values
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Experience with microservices architecture, Kubernetes (K8s), NGINX, observability (logs, metrics, etc.), and network layer protocols.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.Experience with K8s cluster creation, management, and optimization. Expert level knowledge around security and compliance experience for K8s. Experience with networking in K8s for inter, intra, and external pod-to-pod, control, and data plane communications. Experience with Security Configuration and Compliance: Configure, update, and maintain security tools used for endpoint security, log collection and reporting, vulnerability, and compliance scanning. Hardening and compliance with best practices, benchmarks, and remediate vulnerabilities as reported by security.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
