As a Software Engineer II in the Field Revenue Engineering Insights team, you will be developing, improving and maintaining data products supporting Finance in Commercial Business Insights (CBI). You will partner with technical program managers to define capabilities and design solutions that will help our stakeholders make data-driven decisions. This Software Engineer II role will accelerate your career growth by enabling you to develop deep technical skills in leading-edge BI technologies, and to become adept at solving tough problems like meeting customer needs while addressing engineering priorities like long-term sustainability of the systems we build.

Supports collaborations with appropriate stakeholders and records and documents data requirementsContributes to the appropriate data model for the project and drafts design specification documents to model the flow and storage of data for specific parts of a data pipelineWith guidance, independently implements code to extract raw data from identified upstream sourcesApplies standard modification techniques and operations to transform raw data into a form that is compatible with downstream data sourcesDesigns and maintains assigned data tools that are used to transform, manage, and access dataFollow existing documentation or develop and implement performance monitoring protocols across a data pipelinePerforms root cause analysis in response to detected problems/anomalies to identify the reason for alerts and implement solutions that minimize points of failureFollows data modeling and data handling procedures to maintain compliance with applicable laws

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Scala or PythonOR equivalent experience.Demonstrable ability in data modeling, ETL development, and Business Intelligence & Data warehousing, or similar skillsPreferred/Additional QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years’ experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering workMaster's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND3+ years of business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work experience OR equivalent experienceExperience with big data and big data tools (Spark Scala/pySpark)Ability to transform complex business requirements into data models, pipelines and data solution architectureExperience building cloud services on AzureSoftware Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
