As a Senior Software II (SAP Technologies), you will design, code/config, test, deploy, and support missioncritical features for our SAP SuccesssFactors implementation, building scalable software and services that leverage cuttingedge technologies along with as AI, SAP BTP / Azure cloud platforms, and security solutions. You’ll champion quality through testdriven development, automated testing, and robust CI/CD pipelines, while instrumenting telemetry to give realtime visibility, accelerate troubleshooting, and continuously improve reliability. Working closely with peers across multiple teams, you’ll create flexible, highperformance components that enable the next generation of business services, directly impacting Microsoft’s core workloads

This position is based at the Redmond campus with 3 days per week work in the office and 2 days per week work from home. Relocation assistance is available. Responsibilities

Code/Config Development & Reviews

Design, Implement, Validate, Release components/services/systems using your software engineering (designing, code/config, review, testing, debugging, problem solving and analytical) skills in agile team that will measurably add value to our business partners and stakeholders.Write highly efficient clean code/config that can process large amounts of transactions with low latency and high reliability.Conduct incident retrospectives and implement repair actions with guidanceApply least-access principles while investigating issues with appropriate privacy and securityIdentify and escalate blockers, communicating impact on timelinesDesign & Architecture

Understand technical proposals and apply them under leadership guidanceTest and explore design options, outlining strengths and weaknessesProduce code/config to test hypotheses and assist with technical validationContribute to design documents supporting simple user storiesLearn about performance, scalability, resiliency, and COGS implicationsSupport dependency identification and cross-team collaborationBuild testable code/config and understand common test types and strategiesLeverage AI tools for test automation with oversightEngineering Excellence

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of end-to-end life cycle design and implementations of application using SAP SuccessFactors and/or SAP HCM ECC. Experience developing SAP SuccessFactors HXM suite or SAP HCM solutions. Experience in design, developing and implementing module Employee Central, Onboarding and Recruiting which meets the business requirements of the organization.Experience in developing Integration using SAP Integration suite and / or Supporting Integration developers using SuccessFactors OData API’s. Foundational knowledge of Business Rules, workflows and Provisioning configurations. Experience with performance tuning, optimize Business rules and improve responsiveness of the application.Experience with automated test frameworks to ensure functionality, compatibility and performance.Experience working in Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/etc.)Experience in developing other SF modules like Succession planning, Compensations, Benefits, Succession Planning and LMS.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
