Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer II, you will independently use appropriate artificial intelligence tools and practice across the software development lifecycle. You will work with appropriate internal stakeholders to understand customer/user requirements for a set of features. You will create a clear test strategy that ensures solution quality, executes test plans, and builds testable code. You will strive for automation within production deployment aiming for zero-touch when possible. You will apply and review coding patterns, security risks, and compliance issues in code reviews. You will apply security practices to achieve security hardening across product features.

Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.Preferred QualificationsMaster's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Experience with SQL scripting, Microsoft Fabric, SQL Server, and Azure cloud services.Experience designing, developing, deploying, and operating scalable cloud-based data, analytics, automation, or tooling solutions.Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and programming concepts used to solve complex technical problems.Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and technologies, including Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, or similar tools.Experience using AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, across software or data engineering workflows.Experience with data engineering workflows, including data pipelines, ETL, SQL transformations, Spark jobs, partitioning strategies, or schema evolution.Understanding of version control systems, such as Git, and DevOps practices.Experience applying engineering practices related to code quality, testing, monitoring, logging, alerting, telemetry, and maintainability.Experience collaborating across engineering, product management, and other stakeholder groups to deliver customer-focused solutions.Ability to provide technical feedback and contribute to the improvement of AI, Azure, data platform, or Power Platform solutions.Experience contributing to collaborative innovation and continuous improvement across teams.Ability to navigate and resolve differing perspectives while considering stakeholder needs and sensitivities.
