Description

In Mixed Reality, we are building the next generation of devices and infrastructure for training and in-field deployment of in-field scenarios like project IVAS (Integrated Visual Augmentation System.) To get there, we are incorporating diverse groundbreaking technologies from sensors, computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, AI, and more. The Mixed Reality HUD Sensors team is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer II - Computer Vision with a deep knowledge of computer vision and C++. This individual will require solid software development skills to implement and support the sensors processing pipeline for the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) project. The United States Army has contracted Microsoft to build hardware and software leveraging the technology from Hololens. Our team is responsible for the algorithms and signal processing to bring data from specialized sensors to the displays.

Work with stakeholders to gather and analyze features, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet customer requirements for existing and future products. Investigate issues, develop, integrate and validate improvements to current product. Develop efficient and robust system software for computer vision systems. Conduct post-implementation validation of software and address any defects identified during field testing. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and resolve problems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.Experience in implementing computer vision and/or signal processing algorithms. Other Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Familiarity with Unity / C# development Familiarity with GPU development and optimization Bring a passion for growth and innovation, adapt to new challenges with creativity and continuous improvement. Experience with camera calibration for computer vision systems (extrinsics/intrinsics). Experience working with cross discipline engineering teams to coordinate product development and testing.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
