Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for the infrastructure enabling this growth. CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity differentiated at scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages Supportability (spares), Decommissioning and Disposition of data center assets worldwide. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.We are hiring a Senior Silicon Supply Chain Program Manager (Technical Solution Manager), to join the team that manages the supply chain for Microsoft’s own designed silicon, Maia and Cobalt. The Silicon supply chain team manages the launch, manufacturing and delivery of these silicon chips into Microsoft’s datacenters.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your semiconductor & supply chain experience as well as your program management experience bringing innovative chipsets to life. As the Senior Technical Solution Manager, you will manage cross-team projects and business reviews to meet the changing business environment and business needs.
You will lead strategic efforts that require hands-on experience across multiple disciplines. You will lead and partner with cross-functional teams (business, finance, supply chain and engineering) towards product launch and throughout the product life cycle. In addition to demonstrating operational excellence and program management expertise, you will have the opportunity to influence strategic investment, decisions and create new capabilities for Microsoft own designed silicon.
Evolve and facilitate the 1st party silicon supply chain rhythm of business (ROB) aligned to the objectives and complexity of the business. Create engagement across teams and business leaders to enable business decisions. Leverage data and executive communication skills to simplify the complex. Ensure the business initiatives are in line with the overall organization strategy and priorities across functions. Identify and execute strategies effectively. Define measurement plans that include quantitative and/or qualitative data for tracking performance. Track and report on key indicators of success Introduce new products and processes into the silicon supply chain. Track, coordinate, and communicate end-to-end project schedules for solution area(s). Align the technical supply chain solutions with overall business strategic objectives. Hold stakeholders accountable for following schedule and deliverables. Use strong program management skills to track work, dependencies, and resources against project schedules to enable cohesive and connected outcomes. Leverage partnership and collaboration skills to manage on time delivery and availability of products throughout the product life cycle. Utilize the organization's strategy for the upcoming year(s) to design budgets that align with forecasting plans and build in collaboration with the leadership team. Track financial progress to date against budget and manage complex budgets with significant negotiation, ensure spending remains within budget.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of direct experience in semiconductor supply chains and/or program management. 4+ years of experience with change management in a manufacturing environment, focusing on new product introduction and change management. Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years’ experience in NPI, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Project Management OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years’ experience in NPI, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Project Management OR equivalent experience.
Technical Solution Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
