As a Service Engineer in the M365 AGC team, you will help operate and improve Microsoft 365 services in air-gapped and sovereign environments. You will monitor service health, troubleshoot issues, and implement automation to reduce operational risk. This opportunity will allow you to:

Responsibilities

Implement high-performance solutions across teams while maintaining a quality checklist with minimal help. Monitor telemetry data and perform analyses to identify patterns that reveal errors and unexpected problems.Respond to incidents by identifying the level of impact, troubleshooting basic issues, deploying appropriate fixes, and implementing automations to prevent recurring issues. Follow prescriptive guidance for security, privacy, and compliance standards.Collaborate within and across teams by proactively and systematically sharing information. Support your work with others by proactively managing dependencies.Improve the development and operations of systems, platforms, or product features by sharing insights and best practices. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, systems engineering, or industrial controlsOR equivalent experience. Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations.  As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide either proof of their country of citizenship or proof of their US. residency or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, service engineering, or systems engineering

OR equivalent experience.

• 1+ year technical experience working with large-scale cloud or distributed systems.

• Experience with DevOps practices, automation, and incident management workflows.

• Familiarity with Kusto Query Language (KQL), telemetry, and data visualization for service health monitoring.

• ITIL certification (V3 or above), PMP/Agile PM certification, or experience working in an agile project team.

• Experience supporting regulated or sovereign cloud environments for government or highly regulated industries.

• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated sense of accountability for end-to-end outcomes

Service Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
