The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.
Microsoft Incident Response offers comprehensive support for organizations before, during, and after cybersecurity incidents including removing bad actors and strengthening defenses. Resources include guides on threat hunting, incident response best practices, and digital forensics to enhance cybersecurity resilience while emphasizing the importance of incident response as part of security operations, focusing on investigating and remediating active threat campaigns quickly. The Microsoft Detection and Response Team (DART) is looking for a highly organized Security Researcher experienced in cybersecurity, with a specialized focus on incident response. In this role, you will develop tooling to support advanced incident response processes. You will analyze incident response processes, emerging threats and customer requirements. You will ensure our solutions align with business objectives, protect sensitive information, track performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Solution Development
Customize and configure solution modulesDevelop plugins, workflows, and custom scripts using C#, .NET, and Power Platform.Implement integrations with external systems using APIs and middleware.
System Design & Architecture
Translate business requirements into technical specifications.Design scalable and secure solutions aligned with Microsoft best practices.
Maintenance & Support
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.Perform upgrades and apply patches
Collaboration
Work with business analysts and project managers to deliver solutions.Provide technical guidance to other developers and support teams.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field OR 7+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection. Additional or preferred qualificationsDoctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field OR 8+ years experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cybersecurity, and/or anomaly detection.Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE/CRM and/or Operations.Proficiency in .NET Framework, and JavaScript.Knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.Experience with Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus).Understanding of security roles, solution management, and ALM in DynamicsExperience and/or knowledge of cybersecurity and related processesAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Security Research IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
