The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.

The Security Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) will lead cross-functional initiatives across cloud platforms, security programs, and enterprise product development. This role focuses on driving strategic planning, aligning stakeholders, executing complex programs, and delivering high-impact solutions at scale. In this role, you will bring experience in cloud technologies, security governance, and full product lifecycle management.

This position requires partnering with engineering, product, User Experience (UX), compliance, and leadership teams to define requirements, mitigate risks, improve customer experience, and deliver programs on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

Program & Product Leadership

Define and execute product and program strategy in alignment with organizational goals.Lead end-to-end program lifecycle including requirement gathering, prioritization, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch optimization.Drive roadmap planning, OKRs, KPIs, and cross-functional execution.Conduct market and customer research to identify pain points, prioritize features, and shape long-term product vision. Cloud & Security Program Execution

Oversee development and delivery of cloud-based features and governance capabilities.Lead security compliance programs, vulnerability remediation, and implementation of secure-by-default frameworks.Partner with engineering, legal, and security stakeholders to "shift left" security practices and reduce post-release security issues.Develop automated controls, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to improve visibility and operational efficiency. Stakeholder Engagement & Communications

Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering, product, support, and business stakeholders.Manage customer and partner communications for feature adoption, early access programs, and go-to-market execution.Facilitate workshops, stakeholder reviews, and cross-functional planning.Provide regular program updates, risk assessments, and executive summaries. Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

Implement scalable processes, workflows, and governance models.Drive continuous improvement through data analytics, forecasting, and scenario modeling.Identify program risks, define mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve roadblocks.Optimize program delivery through automation, performance measurement frameworks, and quality controls.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.Other Requirements

Additional or preferred qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).4+ years experience working on technical projects.Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).Proficient experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and enterprise product development. Background in security programs, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks. Experience with analytics tools, dashboards, forecasting, and KPI/OKR development. Demonstrated success managing multiple complex programs in cross-functional environments. Proficient communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
