Description
Our sellers are key to how customers and partners understand Microsoft’s products and strategies, but how do we align the conversations of thousands of sellers with each other and with the company’s strategy? Making sure that the sellers are having the right conversations at the right time is key to the company’s success, and the Incentive Compensation team connects strategy to seller behavior in one of the most important ways: by determining how sellers get paid.The Incentive Compensation Global Operations and Regional Delivery Team is a part of the Worldwide Incentive Compensation group. The group’s mission is to enable Strategy, Motivate Sellers, and define Reward Results. In pursuit of this mission, the team designs and implements variable incentive-based compensation plans for more than 25,000 sellers, sales leaders and consultants across Microsoft. We are experts in Incentive Compensation at Microsoft, responsible for aligning incentive plans and targets (quotas) to motivate seller behavior and drive the company's strategies.
As a Sales Incentives Compensation Manager, you are vital to global execution excellence and regarded by stakeholders as an expert in driving deep insights, growth, and solutioning. You are responsible for effectively partnering with regional leadership within your portfolio, effectively managing key objectives and representing the organization through strong partnerships.

Partner with Sales CVP/VP with in-year reviews to monitor performance and respond to changes in the product strategy or market environment.Lead and partner with sales managers for incentive compensation health and to solve potential issues and manage escalations.Partner with internal stakeholders to build consensus and seek resolution to problems, queries, and exceptions.Primary point of contact for business helpdesk escalations across HR, Local Finance, Sales Excellence and Workers Council, aligned by Segment/Regional support model.Provide data-driven awareness based on standard reporting to help address blockers and risks and create a path to green or mitigation plans.Conduct reviews and connection meetings with regional leadersPartner with Change Management leads to enable strategic incentive compensation go to market motion.Drive ‘always on’ engagement with sales leaders and provide end-to-end support on compensation health and in-year strategy adoption and manage fiscal year in-year quota issuance.Drive and guide consistent Regional Excellence compensation discipline and governance.Embody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field AND 5+ years experience in compensation, business management and operations, finance and analytics, human resources and people analytics, marketing, or sales strategy OR equivalent experience. 5+ years of Program Management, Project Management, Business Process Management, or equivalent experience.2+ years of experience working with globally distributed teams.Sales Compensation IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
