Description
OverviewIn alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
We seek a proactive professional to support our CO+I Resilience Validation Program (RVP) activities worldwide, with a particular emphasis on our EMEA locations. The main goal is to validate that resilience controls at datacenters operate correctly by conducting thorough tests and exercises—especially during times of change or unique situations through the tactical execution of the CO+I RVP. You’ll collaborate with partners and Microsoft teams to design site-specific test scenarios, proactively identify and address gaps, and coordinate projects to ensure these issues are resolved efficiently. This involves working closely with teams in areas such as physical security, environmental health and safety, compliance, risk management, human resources, and legal. Understanding the leader’s goals and approach will help align team efforts with overall objectives. You may also contribute to cross-functional projects as business needs evolve, cooperate with communications teams to deliver internal content, and gather details for scenario-based storytelling to communicate strategies, results, and objectives both internally and externally. Analyzing CO+I RVP metrics supports accountability and tracks team performance in core business operations.
The chosen candidate will join a diverse group dedicated to continual improvement and oversight of CO+I RVP tools, strategies, and protocols, ensuring they meet Microsoft’s standards and best practices. Our aim is to build a forward-looking CO+I RVP culture and protect the integrity of Microsoft’s global datacenters by preparing and training teams for unforeseen events.
We’re looking for someone who can quickly adapt and focus, has a strong background in organization and coordination, and can demonstrate understanding and support for our global CO+I RVP session strategies. This person should excel at readying teams across large organizations and assessing the impact of our CO+I RVP through hands-on drills and live incident reviews. Strategic vision and a history of meeting objectives are essential. Regularly engaging stakeholders and guiding them through various initiatives will be part of this role. The successful candidate will not only appreciate the significance of existing CO+I RVP measures but will also help develop future plans vital for a dynamic company and shifting risk landscape. Key strengths include championing programs, collaborating widely, and influencing others without formal authority. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical.
