We are hiring a Researcher II on the Azure Data Research team, you will leverage your expertise in the motivations, workflows, and habits of data professionals to inform the strategy, design, and growth of products and services across the data cloud suite. Our Research team takes a multi-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods to identify emerging patterns of usage, uncover user insights, reveal unarticulated needs, and surface new product and service priorities. Familiarity with big data analysis is welcomed as a complement to these approaches.

Responsibilities
Designs and delivers well-scoped, rigorous, ethical research studies that yields reliable, actionable and enduring insights.Works collaboratively across disciplines to drive research efforts that lead to product outcomes. Provides education and mentorship to other disciplines on the value of research, emphasising rigour and methodology.Demonstrates techniques with teams to support and develop less experienced members.Develop and innovate research methodologies using AI tools.Embody our culture and values
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field OR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, Information Science, Information Architecture, User Experience Design, Behavioral Science, Social Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years user experience research experienceOR equivalent experience. 1+ year(s) experience in research methods impacting both product direction and detailed experience design. #azdat #azuredata #azuredata #userresearch
Research Sciences IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
