Azure CXP CRE is looking for a customer focused Senior Reliability Engineer passionate about Customer Reliability Engineering (Availability, Reliability, Resiliency, site up) and supportability of the Azure platform at scale. This role will be accountable for livesite, improving customer experience, and for diagnosing and troubleshooting mission critical customer applications built on the Microsoft Azure platform. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate breadth while managing complex, highly available services with a deep understanding of the underlying components (Azure Platform, Azure SDK, Azure Portal), and work directly with Customers, Customer Support, Livesite Teams, and Engineering.

Demonstrating ability to develop and maintain key partnerships.Omproving Customer experience by analyzing signals from various sources, driving Root Cause Analyst (RCA) and Service Level improvements involving bug fixes.Collaboratiung closely with Engineering/PM to drive continuous product quality improvements based on customer signals. Identifying and drive requirements for increased customer self-supportability.Identifying and driving implementation of customer centric mitigation levers and playbooks for Operations and drive operation excellence.Participating in the design of V. Next architecture for Cloud infrastructure services, focusing on strategic customer solutions.Demonstrating responsiblity, self-motivation and reliablilty as a teammate.Have skill in collaboration, organizational, and time management.Being data driven and focusing on business results for projects undertaken.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

6+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administrationoOR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administrationoOR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.3+ years of cloud services and/or virtualization stack capabilities and/or experience work on cloud platforms?

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:

Engineering experience in 24 x 7 x 365 enterprise environments and be willing to participate in an Oncall rotation.Desired Technical expertise on Azure services and capabilities and/or cloud platformsFluency in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, CLI etc.)Communication skills that allow you to take the lead and control communication with customers, internal Microsoft stake holders and third-party vendorsUnderstanding of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Performance Tuning Demonstrate strategic thinking, quantitative and analytical skills, team leadership, and collaborationExperience in problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skillsDesired knowledge of Windows Platform or Linux, developer tools and ability to diagnose and debug user codeExperience managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in accordance with high level objectives/projectsAbility in written and oral communicatio; Experience communicating with a variety of audiences; including high-profile customers, executive management, and engineering teams

Site Reliability Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
