Overview

The Global Security Operations team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Regional Security Manager, Puget Sound, to manage physical security operations for Microsoft’s Puget Sound corporate campus and surrounding facilities. This role is responsible for life safety, asset protection, and business continuity across one of Microsoft’s most complex, high-density, and high-visibility corporate environments within its global portfolio.

As a Senior Regional Security Manager, Puget Sound, you will be responsible for the tactical execution and operational delivery of physical security services across Microsoft’s Puget Sound campus, including oversight of personnel, infrastructure, vendor performance, and incident responses.

Responsibilities

Security Risk Management

Identify, assess, and manage security risks to Microsoft people, facilities, infrastructure, and business operations across the Puget Sound region.Monitor emerging and evolving threats, including demonstration activity, insider risk indicators, and external risk factors, and drive timely mitigation strategies.Develop and implement risk treatment plans, controls, and performance measures to ensure effectiveness throughout the asset and project lifecycle.Synthesize intelligence and risk insights to inform stakeholders, escalate issues appropriately, and support decision-making during elevated risk periods and incidents.Security Services

Manage the delivery of physical security services across the Puget Sound corporate campus, including guarding operations, patrols, visitor management, event security, and life-safety response.Ensure security operations comply with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.Prepare for, manage, and respond to security incidents, demonstrations, emergencies, and life-safety events, coordinating with internal partners and external authorities as required.Oversee documentation, procedures, training, and operational readiness to support consistent, high-quality security delivery.Measure and report on the effectiveness and impact of security programs and services.Leadership and Partnership

Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders including Global Workplace Services (GWS), Human Resources, Legal, Procurement, and business leaders.Serve as a trusted security advisor, communicating risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and operational impacts to senior leaders.Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.Support strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for regional security operations.Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and technology adoption to enhance security effectiveness and resilience.Other

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

4+ years experience in security program or program management or related field OR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Security, or a related field and 10+ years of progressive corporate or enterprise security experience, including management of security operations or security programs supporting large, multi-site business environments; or equivalent experience.Experience integrating AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) into security operations workflows to drive efficiency, improve risk visibility, and support faster, more informed operational decisions.Professional security certification (CPP, PSP, or equivalent).Demonstrated experience making risk-based decisions that balance life safety, asset protection, and business continuity within a corporate environment.Proven experience managing security vendors, contracts, and service delivery models.Excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making skills in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Security IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
