Our Quantum team is working at the forefront of science and technology to bring scalable quantum computing to the world. We’re seeking a Quantum Software Engineer to help build and optimize applications for fault-tolerant quantum computers. Our applications span many domains but have a strong emphasis on the physical sciences, particularly problems in chemistry and materials. Work at the cutting-edge of quantum applications for fault-tolerant computers. Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsMaster's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Physical Sciences, or related field AND 1+ years software industry experience, including developing commercial software, compilers, scientific computing applications, or multi-component systems OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Physical Sciences, or related field AND 2+ years software industry experience, including developing commercial software, compilers, scientific computing applications, or multi-component systems OR equivalent experience.2+ years programming experience in related programming languages.1+ year(s) experience in a collaborative environment.1+ years of experience in quantum computing, chemistry, or materials research. 1+ years of experience with high-performance computing (HPC). Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing and implementing quantum algorithms.Experience in chemistry or materials science research.Methodical problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Proficient written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Quantum Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
