Description

We are looking to hire a Principal Program Manager to join our team. The Azure Customer Experience Platform (CXP) team’s mission is to transform Microsoft Cloud customers into fans. Through our deep engineering engagements with customers and teams across Microsoft, we analyze and amplify customer needs and drive the vision to improve Cloud quality, security, and reliability. As a Principal Program Manager in the Azure Customer Experience (CXP) Growth and Innovation team, you will lead a team of program managers focused on technical enablement for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Startups, and Digital Natives building their solutions and applications on Microsoft Azure. Our diverse team, comprised of Microsoft engineers and program managers worldwide, helps software companies design, build, deploy, and stabilize their applications successfully while driving the Microsoft cloud platform forward. We engage across a diverse range of ISVs, from early-stage startups to large globally managed partners.

Customer Engagement:

Collaborate with leading edge strategic ISVs and promising startups worldwide.Partner with engineering colleagues to help ISVs and startups deploy secure, scalable solutions on Azure.Manage communication and service improvements focused on quality, resiliency, and security.Provide timely guidance to customers alongside engineers for application planning, building, and deployment on Azure.Analyze feedback to inform product development and advocate for ISV and startup needs.Evaluate and approve project-based engagements based on criteria, focus, and impact.Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate across teams, geographies, and roles to drive meaningful actions and influence strategy.Manage key stakeholder relationships to align technical and business priorities.Customer Focus and Data-Driven Improvement:

Gather and analyze data to identify opportunities for improving customer experience and platform quality.Maintain a high bias for action to influence outcomes and develop scalable strategies.Focus on enhancing the ISV and startup customer experience on the Azure platform.Inclusive Team Environment:

Foster a supportive and inclusive team atmosphere.Promote open collaboration, direct feedback, and transparency.Strategic Planning and Alignment:

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.3+ years experience leading cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.1+ year(s) of experience in Azure services and capabilities or similar cloud platforms.Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business,OR related field AND 12+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis,OR product developmentOR equivalent experience.2+ years experience working directly with/in ISV, Startup, and/or Digital Natives software companies.5+ years experience in direct customer-facing services delivery role.

Customer Experience Program Mgmt IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
