The ‘Microsoft Red Team: Engineering’ team develops red team tools for use by human operators. We also build intelligent attack emulation services that automate those same tools for security defenders. We are looking for a program manager that can drive the delivery of red team tools and AI systems that automate offensive engagements, can build relationships with partners to leverage these capabilities to improve security at Microsoft, and can constantly press Microsoft defenders to find ways to outsmart our attackers.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and leveraging cutting edge adversary emulation capabilities to scale red team insights to defensive capabilities across Microsoft. As a Senior Program Manager, you will:

Drive the adoption and effective use of adversary emulation capabilities across Microsoft.Partner with internal defensive security teams to improve their detection, investigation, and response capabilities.Woek with engineering partners and leadership to develop and implement team strategy, product roadmaps, and OKRs.Conceptualize, prioritize, and support AI-driven adversary emulation services and user scenarios.Prioritize red team tooling scenarios for both human operators and adversary emulation services.Support partner development teams in contributing to our services.Research the latest attack techniques used by internal red teams and external threat actors.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product developmentOR equivalent experience.2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.4+ years of professional program or product management experience.Program or product management experience in security programs, security engineering, offensive security, pen testing, or red teaming

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development. OR equivalent experience. 6+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.5+ years of professional program or product management experience.1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
