Microsoft Event Production and Studios’ Team is seeking a live event professional that brings energy and agility in our live event and digital event productions. This Production Lead role requires inventive thinking – the ability to contextualize and organize ideas and teams to optimal impact towards Microsoft business objectives. It is a critical role supporting a highly visible portfolio of events, while working with diverse Microsoft teams and suppliers, to bring to life live experiences that tell or amplify our corporate narrative, are audience centric, and drive business impact. You will forge strong relationships to build consensus, drive thought leadership, contribute to building the event strategy aligned to business objectives, and ensure event success and excellence in event marketing execution.

We are seeking a team member who will bring an ability to balance the needs of the multiple clients (internal event business owners, team directors, GM, CVPs and others), strategy and execution challenges. Responsibilities

In this role you will have overall accountability for the end to end live event experience. With your supplier team you will: Design live shows that tell the Microsoft stories on brand, on time and on budget; Execute on creative vision and content delivery for both in person and online audiences and be a steward to the Microsoft Core Narratives and ensure that they are woven into the fabric of our experiences. All while keeping in mind we have two audiences the live audience in the room and the live audience we are broadcasting to. Partner with key stake holders to develop strategic event plans supporting key marketing initiatives, execute the vision for the experience and identifying key objectives for each event. Manage ongoing communications with core partners, show organizers, vendors, and internal cross-functional marketing teams to ensure on-time and aligned execution. Drive collaborative discussions and decisions with all key stakeholders and executives. Develop multiple project milestones, event plans, and contingency plans as needed based on budget, timing, and business need. Drive event staffing, on-site coordination, risk mitigation, and conflict resolution as needed. Validate or partner with Production Director to ensure the supplier base is scalable, efficient and cost effective. Participate in the Events and Studios organization rhythm of business standards for reporting and meeting participation. Have availability for event pre and show dates. This could include weekends and international destinations Budget management and innovative thinking required for problem solving.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

3+ years business to business, business to consumer, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience OR equivalent experience.Additional or preferred qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Liberal Arts, Performing Arts, or related field AND 6+ years business to business, business to consumer, enterprise technology, digital, or experiential/event marketing experience in the technology industry OR equivalent experience.5+ years marketing experience in a large multinational organization or creative/media agency.7+ years of experience delivering successful digital and in person events marketing. 5+ years of in-depth experience working with general contractors on Trade Shows and/or Expos. Ability to drive clarity and direction in ambiguous situations. Strategic project management experience with large budgets, complex schedules and the organizational skills needed to set and drive requirements across multiple functional areas Proven communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Self -motivated and directed person, requiring minimal supervision for assignment completion. Shows pasion to pioneer as we continually add features to our production platform that haven't been done before. Proven understanding of the event production process and managing supplier teams.

Events IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
