Overview

Microsoft Security is advancing a unified posture strategy that helps organizations reduce cyber risk before attacks unfold. With threats accelerating and attack surfaces expanding, pre-breach posture has become one of the most critical pillars of modern cybersecurity. This Senior Product Marketing Manager (PMM) role sits at the center of that mission, driving product marketing strategy for Microsoft Security Exposure Management (MSEM) and our integrated approach to assessing, prioritizing, and reducing risk across identity, devices, cloud, and data. MSEM is becoming a core part of Microsoft's platform for cybersecurity, making MSEM even more central to the success of our customers. In this role you will partner closely with product engineering, field leaders, industry analysts, and cross-security PMM teams to evolve product strategy and tell a differentiated, compelling story about how Microsoft helps customers close exposure gaps before adversaries exploit them.

Responsibilities

Own the product marketing strategy for MSEM and unified posture, including positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation. Deeply partner with engineering to shape roadmap clarity, preview readiness, and customer value articulation. Synthesize market and competitor insights to influence product direction and GTM strategy. Drive launches, field enablement, and customer adoption programs across Microsoft Security portfolio. Create compelling content: executive decks, solution briefs, customer stories, demo scripts, and event narratives. Collaborate with cross-security PMM teams (Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Entra) to deliver an integrated Microsoft story for security posture. Represent the voice of the customer—engage with CISOs, security practitioners, and partners to refine value props. Embody our culture and values.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in businessOR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in businessOR equivalent experience. Additional or preferred qualificationsMaster's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in businessOR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in businessOR equivalent experience.5+ years in product marketing, technical marketing, or related roles. 5+ years of experience with market analysis, competitive research, and launch execution.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
