Overview

Microsoft believes that Frontier Firms are the future of work. The AI Business Solutions (ABS) team is seeking a worldclass systems thinker and editorial content operations strategist to help us empower business leaders on their Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation journey. In this high-visibility role, you will partner with a team of editors and designers, along with cross-functional teams and external thought leaderships partners, to create web, social, videos, newsletters, podcasts and more that provide both visionary perspective and actionable guidance on AI at work. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead world-class content operations, oversee video shoots and other production events, build professional editorial systems, and manage a budget with an expert eye for efficiency and cost-savings. They will also demonstrate technical acumen and curiosity, as building agentic workflows is a critical aspect of the role.

Demonstrates a passion for creating and enabling content that sets a new standard for AI thought leadership, while also delivering measurable impact across key performance indicators.

Operational Acumen: Demonstrates exceptional operational expertise and a command of systems thinking, building and optimizing processes that enable teams to deliver at scale with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and measurable results.

Tech Curious: Has a demonstrated ability to build AI and agents into key workflows to create efficiencies and impact against clear KPIs.

Relationship Builder & Dot Connector: Quickly forges strong cross-functional relationships and connects disparate teams, driving alignment and collaboration in complex, matrixed environments.

Strategic & Analytical: Uses data-driven insights to inform decisions, continuously improve processes, and align operational priorities with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Build and manage an operational system across content thought leadership and product marketing blog—including web, social, videos, newsletters, and podcast—with the goal of maximizing efficiency and enabling flexibility in a Frontier marketing organization.

Project manage end-to-end content launches across thought leadership—including the Work Trend Index, all WorkLab content, product blog editorial, and related social media campaigns.

Manage team budget, contracts, and relationships with suppliers—proactively identifying opportunities for great efficiency and impact.

Own a dynamic editorial calendar aligned with overarching business objectives, research and education priorities, evolving narratives and positioning, and product vision, adapting priorities and content dynamically based on performance metrics and feedback from stakeholders.

Build and maintain a clear content amplification strategy, partnering with social media channel owners and other cross-functional teams to build engagement, subscriber numbers, and other KPIs.

Prepare and share monthly performance reports and recommendations and quickly incorporate learnings and insights into editorial strategy and plan optimizations.

Build a world-class rhythm of business to enable an agile, flexible team of content creators to model editorial excellence.

Enable the team to design and implement agentic workflows by building scalable operational frameworks, integrating automation tools, managing against milestones and blockers, and ensuring seamless orchestration across systems to drive efficiency and adaptability.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Content Marketing

OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in Content Marketing

OR equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience leading operations for a top tier news or high-volume journalism organization.

 

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in Content Marketing

OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in Content Marketing

 OR equivalent experience.

Experience working cross-functionally successfully.

Experience partnering with engineering teams to influence product value. Experience with AI technologies and enabling non-technical teams to transform workflows with AI

Experience improving workflows and creating efficiencies with AI and agents.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
