Are you excited about helping customers explore how AI can transform the marketing function?We are seeking a strategic and customer-obsessed Product Marketing Manager, BDM Audience Marketing (Chief Marketing Officer) to lead Business Decision Maker audience marketing for CMO across Manufacturing, Consumer Goods, Retail, Telecommunications, Media, and Financial Services. This cross-segment role reports into the Retail, Telecommunications, Media & Financial Services Industry Marketing team and plays a pivotal part in positioning Microsoft as the trusted partner for frontier firms, those pushing the boundaries of innovation and operational excellence. Agentic AI is already transforming industries, and we want to help key functions understand the specific relevance of agents in the context of their daily work. Marketing leaders are a priority audience, with concerns that cross industry boundaries. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to explore how we can reach this audience with the right messages to accelerate their AI journey.
You’ll join a team at the intersection of product innovation, industry experience, and audience insight. Your work will help define how Microsoft empowers marketing decision makers to lead with agility, creativity, and resilience—amplified by the transformative potential of agentic AI. From crafting compelling narratives to orchestrating go-to-market strategies, you’ll drive engagement with our most strategic customers and accelerate their journey toward frontier marketing.

Audience Strategy & Insights: Build a deep understanding of marketing Business Decision Maker personas (e.g., CMO, Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Communications) across industries. Leverage behavioral signals, industry trends, and role-based insights to shape strategy.Messaging & Positioning: Develop compelling narratives that communicate Microsoft’s differentiated value in enabling differentiated marketing that drives brand growth and increased revenue. Tailor messaging to industry-specific challenges and transformation levers.Go-to-Market Execution: Partner with integrated marketing, engineering, and field teams to launch campaigns and content that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across segments. Work across industry-specific marketing initiatives to identify where and how to reach the CMO audience.Content Development: Lead the creation of persona-based assets including solution plays, customer stories, executive presentations, and thought leadership tailored to CMOs and marketing leaders in each vertical.Field & Partner Enablement: Equip field sellers and partners with messaging frameworks, pitch decks, and customer engagement tools that reflect the priorities of marketing leaders across industries.Performance Measurement: Track engagement across the Azure Target Account List (TAL), and other segment-specific lists. Optimize based on Highly Engaged (HE) seller recommendations and campaign performance.Embody our culture and values.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualificationsMaster's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.3+ years experience engaging with executive-level marketing audiences, particularly Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs), to drive strategic alignment and influence decision-making. Demonstrated ability to understand and address the priorities of marketing leadership, including brand strategy, demand generation, and go-to-market execution. Additional or preferred qualifications Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
