Description



Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on the Microsoft Cloud.

At Microsoft Payments, we believe the payment industry is undergoing significant disruption and we want you to help us extend our payments platform to bring new and innovative ways for customers to interact with our payments experiences. The payments product team sits in the Commerce and Ecosystems (C&E) organization and is the heart of all commerce activity at Microsoft such as Xbox, Office and Azure. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help craft the next generation of fintech experiences and platform capabilities for Microsoft’s ecosystem of products.

Product/Service Development

You will help create and build the strategic agenda for teams to identify customers’ unmet or unknown needs and market opportunities for enhancement and development of feature(s)/feature areas via quantitative (e.g., usage, telemetry) and qualitative analyses (e.g., customer usage, various listening systems, feedback channels of market and industry trends). You will write product framing memo or strategy documents and drive reviews with senior leaders You will help distill the vision and strategy into a product roadmap You will prioritize the backlog to align tradeoffs for feature(s) and take in new inputs and adapt as necessary You will work with peers in C&E, Gaming or Azure to define and work towards shared success

Leadership

You have outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills, be a super collaborator and excel at creating clarity You will provide strategic direction to cross-divisional teams partnering with leadership and engineering to prioritize and deliver on roadmap for features, products, and services Your deep customer empathy and previous experience with payments will create healthy partner and customer experiences as we execute on a financial services strategy that spans both consumer and commercial businesses



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.3+ years of technical product management experience in the payments/fintech industry.

Other Requirements:  Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.Growth mindset with a desire to continually learn and apply new skills to a broad range of projects as you dig into complex problems and create solutions that scale to a large system and codebasePossess cross group and interpersonal skills necessary to articulate the business needs and importance of our security deliverables with experience working with data for analysis/insights 

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
