Description



Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the end-to-end customer journey on the Microsoft Cloud. 

We are transforming the commerce engine, responsible for all the revenue that flows through Microsoft, from a disparate collection of services to a consistent and coherent platform, that both internal teams and external end users and partners can build on.

As a Principal Product Manager on the Commerce Platform and Experiences team within the Commerce + Ecosystems organization, you will work across the organization to improve the developer experience for all our customers. We are looking for a product leader with a history of providing thought leadership on Application Program Interface, data, and system design to create quality, secure platforms that are reusable and extensible. You will be accountable for establishing and running an API program to drive faster time-to-market for commerce functionality, satisfaction both within Microsoft and with customers, and lower support incidents for working with and building on the commerce platform. You will also be responsible for developing the strategy to leverage commerce APIs and data to enable scenarios for acquiring and managing Microsoft and ISV products and services within Copilot and AI experiences across the company. You will partner with product and engineering leaders and architects across commerce and Microsoft to establish a culture of product thinking with the commerce platform.

Defines or influences the long-term vision and strategy for commerce API and data developer experiences based on a deep understanding of internal and external customer needs, market and user research, the competitive landscape, and Microsoft’s business goals and strategy. Defines and evangelizes with others business impact, success criteria, performance metrics and fundamentals for experiences across divisional boundaries. Owns and drives the roadmap for and execution of experiences across divisional boundaries. Influences and drives engagement with cross-functional internal partners, external partners, including early adopting customers, senior leadership, and other key stakeholders to gather input and garner support for vision, strategy, and roadmap for experiences across divisional boundaries. Facilitates senior-level reviews of internal and external customers feedback to determine and evaluate usability and satisfaction for experiences to meet customer goals and key success metrics. Coaches and mentors internal team across divisional boundaries to address crucial customer needs for the commerce API and data developer experiences. Embody our Culture and Values 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years of experience in product/service/project/program managementOR software developmentOR equivalent experience.Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
