OverviewMicrosoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is responsible for managing one of the world’s largest cloud infrastructures. CO+I oversees the delivery of more than 200 Microsoft web portals, as well as Live and Online Services globally, encompassing areas such as infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. The team emphasizes intelligent growth, operational efficiency, and providing a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. The Infrastructure Planning and Execution Center of Excellence team (IPA CoE) is responsible for enabling and optimizing the foundation that supports infrastructure delivery and execution for Land, Energy, Networking, and Datacenter Planning through efficient processes, data driven decision making, innovation, and delivering automated and integrated tool sets.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own and guide technology initiatives from ideation and strategic development through requirements gathering, process enhancement, and execution to advance our organization’s next generation of core services.
In this capacity, you will serve as a vital liaison between Region Design, Datacenter Planning business stakeholders, and internal engineering teams. You will analyze and document customer processes to map critical information flows and key handoffs within a complex environment comprising numerous stakeholders and multiple internal and external systems. Additionally, you will assess current process maturity and develop actionable improvement plans. Engaging with customers, you will identify objectives, unmet needs, and pain points, transforming these insights into comprehensive “To-Be” processes and high quality requirements that support end-to-end customer scenarios.
Throughout the product development lifecycle, you will lead projects aimed at promoting high-quality, scalable technology solutions with appropriate flexibility, while fostering successful implementation within a customer-centric, innovative, and collaborative team culture.
Your primary responsibilities will include driving enhancements and results through technological solutions and process improvements for Region Design and Datacenter Planning business functions, while maintaining a holistic perspective.

Collaborate with Business architecture, Product Managers, Business partners and Engineering teams to create program & strategy roadmaps, project plan and execute on programs and initiativesWork closely with engineers, partners, and stakeholders to gather, define and prioritize requirements and ensure alignment on end-to-end scenariosListen and learn directly from customers and through customer data to ensure we’re making correct decisions each step of the way.Drive analysis on current inefficiencies and provide thoughtful solutions with clear downstream impacts that contribute to overall business goals and strategies, enabling us to scale to meet projected demand growth for our cloud businessCollaborate with business and engineering teams to create To Be process flows and drive change management aligned with business and technical initiatives.Remove process ambiguity and drive to clear solutions that are delivered with high qualityCoordinate with all segments and functional organizations at both the executive and project team levels, to ensure clarity on requirements, workflow and processPrimary point of contact interfacing between business and engineering driving enhancements and results through technological solutions and process improvementsManage schedules, risks, and issues and communicate them effectively to the team, management, and partners.Champion engineering and operational excellence, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvementUse data and analytics to support the business
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.Background Check Requirements:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering or related technical discipline, or 5+ years of related professional experience.Previous experience with Planning Processes, Inventory Management, Supply Planning principles and/or tooling in a Supply Chain for Hi-Tech or Hyperscaler industry environment5+ years of experience in Program Management or Product Management: defining, driving, and shipping software products or services utilizing both waterfall and agile methodologiesTrack record of effectively collaborating across feature teams and disciplines as a contributor or leaderPlanning and time management skills, the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with time results- driven timelines and be able to prioritize work accordinglyProven ability to define customer-focused scenarios, author detailed requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and demonstrated ability to lead virtual teams to ensure that scenarios are delivered end-to-end at product milestones.Ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment.Ability to assemble and articulate a simple strategy out of complex concepts and disparate requirementsAdvanced proficiency in data analysis, including extracting information from diverse sources using SQL and Kusto queries. Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
