In partnership with Oracle, we have built a first-of-its-kind multi-cloud solution – Oracle Database@Azure – which brings Oracle’s flagship database services into Azure datacenters. This service enables customers to run their Oracle databases on Azure with high performance, security, and reliability, while seamlessly integrating with native Azure services.

Now, we are taking the next step by infusing Azure’s cutting-edge AI capabilities into Oracle Database@Azure. As the Senior Product Manager – Azure AI Integration, you will drive the product vision and roadmap for blending Azure AI services (such as Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services) with Oracle database workloads on Azure. You will lead the strategy to unlock intelligent, AI-powered scenarios for enterprise customers, transforming how businesses leverage data and AI together. In this role, you will collaborate across Azure AI and Oracle engineering teams to design new features, validate AI-driven use cases with customers, and ensure our solutions deliver end-to-end value without compromising on enterprise-grade performance or security. Responsibilities

Lead AI Integration Strategy: Define and execute the product vision and strategy for integrating Azure AI capabilities with Oracle Database@Azure. You will own the roadmap for AI-driven features, such as applying Azure OpenAI and machine learning models to data stored in Oracle databases on Azure. Product Roadmap & Delivery: Drive end-to-end product planning for AI integrations – from ideation and requirements through design, delivery, and global rollout of new capabilities. Ensure features meet customer needs and align with Azure and Oracle ecosystem goals.Customer Research & Scenario Validation: Engage directly with enterprise customers and partners to understand their needs and pain points. Identify high-value AI use cases (e.g. predictive analytics, intelligent data retrieval, cognitive services applied to Oracle data) and run validation programs or previews to gather feedback. Use customer insights to iterate and prioritize the right scenarios. Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner closely with Azure AI teams (Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services) and Oracle engineers to design seamless integrations. Coordinate across multiple product and engineering teams to ensure Azure services and Oracle database services work together efficiently, with low latency and excellent user experience. Evangelism & Enablement: Champion the benefits of AI-enhanced Oracle Database@Azure solutions to both internal and external stakeholders. Work with Microsoft field teams, Oracle, and key partners to develop demos, whitepapers, and presentations that showcase how Azure AI innovations can augment Oracle database workloads. Present at customer briefings, industry events, and executive meetings to drive adoption and excitement for new AI features. Data-Driven Decisions: Monitor industry trends in AI/ML and database technology. Track usage metrics and customer success criteria for AI features, and use data to drive continuous improvements. Ensure that new solutions maintain Azure’s standards for security, compliance, and performance required by mission-critical Oracle applications. Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert for AI integrations on the OracleDB@Azure team. Provide guidance and insight to other product managers and engineers on best practices for incorporating AI/ML into cloud database services. Influence product roadmap and engineering investments by articulating a clear vision of how intelligent cloud services can create business value for our customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience with AI/ML technologies, such as building or integrating solutions involving machine learning models or natural language AI (e.g. working with large language models, predictive analytics, or similar advanced AI applications). 3+ year of hands-on experience with cloud AI services, preferably Microsoft Azure AI (for example, deploying or integrating solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, or comparable AI platforms). 8+ years experience in Oracle or Oracle applications and database management Other Qualifications:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management OR software development OR equivalent experience. Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives or projects, with an ability to work across organizational boundaries. Experience reading and/or writing code (e.g. creating sample apps, scripting, or technical demos) is a plus, demonstrating comfort with technical concepts. Deep knowledge of Azure AI services and ecosystem. Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure Machine Learning, Cognitive Services, and data analytics platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse or Microsoft Fabric) is highly desirable. Domain experience in data platforms or enterprise databases. Exposure to database technologies (SQL/NoSQL). You should be able to quickly learn and discuss database concepts to effectively integrate AI solutions. Customer-facing experience. Demonstrated ability to engage with enterprise customers or partners – for example, gathering requirements, delivering presentations or workshops, or driving pilot programs. A passion for helping customers succeed with new technologies is highly valued. Innovation mindset and continuous learning. Genuine enthusiasm for staying current with the latest advancements in AI/ML (e.g. generative AI, LLMs, etc.) and ability to apply new ideas to product strategy. Proficient product leadership skills, including the ability to translate customer needs into product requirements, and to manage feature delivery through collaboration with engineering teams. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across diverse teams and presenting complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
