Description

The Azure High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence (HPC & AI) compute platform team defines and delivers the hardware roadmap, software, and services that enable our users to run technical computing workloads in Azure – extreme scale AI training and inference including large language models, traditional HPC modelling and simulations, remote visualization, and immersive gaming experiences. We are responsible for providing Azure customers with supercomputer-class capabilities to accelerate their research, drive competitive differentiation, and finding answers to some of the most difficult questions of science and industry.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who has a proven track record working with large-scale cloud infrastructure. This role requires a candidate with an ability to articulate a vision, inspire and get key stakeholder buy-in and delivery, model Microsoft values and lead cross-organization teams to program success.

Azure HPC & AI product group is seeking a technically adept and strategic Senior Product Manager to design supercomputers across our global datacenter fleet. You will shape the future of AI supercomputing by driving resilient, scalable, and high-performance GPU cluster designs.

• Develop cluster templates across various GPU SKUs, taking requirements like power consumption and network architecture into consideration.

• Collaborate with datacenter engineering, networking, and AI infrastructure teams to architect GPU clusters across our datacenters worldwide.

• Engage with partner teams and customers to navigate constraints and align infrastructure with business needs.

• Track evolving business requirements and update cluster designs to reflect changing priorities.

• Ensure seamless propagation of design changes to downstream systems with minimal disruption to execution timelines.

• A self-starter with proven track record of managing complex program/project to successful completion, working across a large set of cross-functional stakeholders.

• Seeking a coachable candidate who is willing and able to mentor members of the team and provide support across our Product Management team.



Qualifications



Required Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

-3+ years of experience with datacenter/networking/hardware concepts and design techniques

-2+ years of experience in a fast paced online services environment

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
