We anticipate potential threats to our service and the customer data in it, and drive product innovation to mitigate the threat. Our team is dynamic and there is constant room for learning and growth, as we race to keep out well-meaning pen-test teams, as well as the not-so-well-meaning external attackers.

The Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) Team is looking for a Principal Product Manager, with proficient technical product management skills, to develop next generation Identity and Access Management (IAM) capabilities protecting all of Microsoft. If you are passionate about the intersection of applications, secrets, & access management – this team is for you. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager who can create a roadmap for the Application Management space and drive the execution. This position provides opportunities for driving consensus cross-divisional teams to create a converged OneMicrosoft solution. Your abilities in data-based decision making and partner engagement will surely come in handy.

Develop a deep understanding of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution for Microsoft365 (M365) services.Provide thought leadership/vision and create a prioritized roadmap of product work needed to support the multitude of M365 services.Work with our penetration testing team and business leaders to ensure that learnings from pen testing efforts are prioritized and remediatedCollaborate closely with M365 Security Team, other security teams across Microsoft, as well as service teams to roll out the latest security policies with the right level of automation and enforcement.Define key success metrics and craft data-focused tracking of solution health and adoption.Report on project status in various reviews, partner briefings, & security conferencesEmbody our Culture and Values



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

Passion for working on technical challenges and willingness to get your hands dirty to get the job doneProven ability to influence and drive strategy across a large organizationProven ability to set vision, deliver and communicate solutions to complex technical problemsA sense of pride and personal accountability for end-to-end quality, craftsmanship & completenessExperience working across organizations/divisions, and bringing people together to achieve the goal10+ years of experience shipping large scale software desiredExperience in IAM and secrets management space is a huge plus.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
