Description

Microsoft is leading the security industry with enterprise and cloud-based security products. Our team is at the forefront of this, with a focus on Microsoft Defender for Cloud (MDfC), Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Network Security (Firewall, DDOS, WAF), Cloud Data Security, and Microsoft Defender for IoT.  We sit between our developers and our customers; and it's our job to create deep engineering relationships with the field, our customers, and our partners. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to play an important role in shaping our products. 



This Role will focus on Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, CoPilot for Security and the Unified Security Operations Platform.

Engage with strategic customers to collect their unmet or unknown needs and market opportunities for enhancements or development of multiple feature areas via qualitative and quantitative analysis. Share insights and trends that will impact product evolvement.Own or partner with others in driving business impact across the organization and tracking success criteria and performance metrics and provides clarity on fundamentalsDig deep into the technologies as a Subject Matter Expert, building experiences across multiple feature areasRecognize our customers’ needs, and how these needs drive or don't drive deployments/usage, and what blockers exist Work closely with engineering, sales, and support teams to handle customer inquiries and incidents raised through customer interaction channels by addressing questions directly or routing to the appropriate resource and tracking to resolution Influence and engage with cross-functional internal partners, senior leadership, and other key stakeholders to gather input and garner support for product/service vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple feature areasHelp our customers understand how to validate successful deployments and to interpret detections and alerts Tell the customer story and technical feedback internally to engineers to drive the evolution of our products Contribute to the technical documentation for our products, writing blogs, troubleshooting guides, reference architectures, playbooks, etc. Contribute with creating customization samples such as Azure Logic Apps playbooks, Workbooks (dashboard), PowerShell scripts, ARM templates for Azure Policy to enable customers to operationalize product usage in their environments 

Understand the story behind our security solutions, and tell it both internally and externally at events like Ready, Ignite, Tech Summits, etc. Keep your demo/lab environment up to date to perform experiments to test hypothesis, provide effective demonstration, problem solving, and learning  

Qualifications

  Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience. 4+ years of cloud experience4+ years of  Security experience Cloud Background Screening Requirement:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Additional or Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree AND 7+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.Azure Fundamentals, Security, SIEMDeep knowledge of the SIEM and XDR market and competitive landscape with technical depthExperience working with customers and field sales teams with a strong customer satisfaction track record in customer facing role Technical curiosity and aptitude to quickly master service capabilities, technical issues, business trends, and customer needsProduct Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
