Description
Microsoft is looking to hire a Principal Product Manager to envision and build a Resilience Validation platform that will take a One Microsoft approach to build the product that Microsoft customers love. As the Principal Product Manager, you will lead and be responsible for the overall performance of a product management team and business accountability for the product. You will define the long-term vision and strategy for Resiliency Validation Platform based on a deep understanding of cloud customer needs, market and user research, and Microsoft’s business goals and strategy. You will be expected to lead others and to create clarity in a complex organizational environment, generate energy through a bias towards action, and deliver results against our product success criteria, and performance metrics. As a people manager, you will deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development, where your primary responsibilities involved the design of software features working closely with an engineering teamOR equivalent experience4+ years people management experience building, leading, and supporting distributed teams Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management OR software developmentOR equivalent experience6+ years people management experience5+ years’ experience translating customer requirements and scenarios into features, including writing software specifications for customer facing user experiences3+ years of experience in one of the following public cloud providers (Azure, AWS, or GCP)The ability to use knowledge of User Experience Design (UX, UXD, UED or XD) to enhance user satisfaction with a product. This includes improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction with the product
Commitment and passion in creating/nurturing a diverse and inclusive team environment; serving as a visible and vocal proponent of the org and team culture
Track record of problem solving and using pilot programs, prototypes, and growth hacking approaches
Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
