Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems. We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries. We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.
The SQL Server, SQL VM, and Azure Arc-enabled SQL Server team within the Azure Databases product pillar is hiring a Senior Product Manager to drive innovation and customer success across these key areas. Our team is responsible for enabling customers to manage and optimize SQL Server across on-premises, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments, using Azure Arc’s powerful capabilities. This role is unique as it requires a strategic mindset and technical depth to bridge the on-prem and cloud-native SQL Server experiences.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of Hybrid solutions that meet enterprise-level demands for reliability, security, and scalability in diverse infrastructure setups. You’ll collaborate across engineering, design, and customer success teams to enhance product offerings, streamline deployment, and improve operational efficiencies. This is an opportunity to influence Microsoft’s hybrid data strategy and deliver impactful, customer-focused solutions for SQL Server in a multi-cloud landscape.

· Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
o OR equivalent experience.
Experience in product management within cloud or hybrid environments, with a demonstrated track record of driving customer-focused solutions.
Proven ability to engage with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and customer success, to drive end-to-end product outcomes.Experience analyzing product performance and customer feedback to inform continuous improvement and product-market fit.Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
