We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - Security to join to our team. The Microsoft Sentinel Unified Device Inventory team, is a fast-growing, mission-driven group building the next-generation security and compliance platform for device visibility and control across enterprise environments. As a Principal Product Manager, you will own the vision and strategy for UDI, driving innovation that empowers customers to secure their digital estate. You’ll collaborate with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver capabilities that simplify device onboarding, enhance operational excellence, and integrate cutting-edge AI experiences. Responsibilities
Own and evolve the product roadmap for the Sentinel Data Lake and Graph platform, prioritizing features that enable scalable, secure, and performant data ingestion, transformation, and access across diverse security workloads.Define and drive the development of a unified data catalog that enables discoverability, governance, and schema evolution for petabyte-scale security data across tabular, graph, and vector modalities.Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, and partner teams across Microsoft Security. Translate customer and partner needs into clear product requirements and success metrics, balancing technical feasibility with business impact in a fast-paced, AI-driven security environment. Lead planning, execution, and go-to-market efforts for new platform capabilities, ensuring alignment with broader Microsoft Security strategy and delivering measurable value to internal and external stakeholders.Embody our Culture and Values
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience. 7+ years of experience with focus on data platforms or related technologies, demonstrating the ability to translate customer needs into actionable product requirements and drive cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions 4+ years of experience with high-scale data platforms: Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale data platform projects, such as data lakes or data warehouses, including ownership of infrastructure that handles massive data volumes. 2+ years of deep understanding of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines, with hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL workflows that ensure data quality and reliability.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
