Description

The Azure High-Performance Computing/Artifical Intelligence (HPC/AI) team is looking for talented individuals to help drive networking for the largest AI training supercomputers in the world.

As a Product Manager II in AI Supercomputing networking, you will work with AI compute product managers, frontier AI model developers, datacenter design and operations experts, networking vendors. You will help the largest AI supercomputing customers train the most advanced models powering some of the most widely used consumer and enterprise software services. In doing so, you will accelerate your career growth, develop deep business acumen, hone your practical AI supercomputing skills, and become adept at working with and across multiple teams of colleagues and stakeholders for the world's foremost AI Cloud, Microsoft Azure. This is a flexible work opportunity for which a candidate can partially work from home.

You will drive and track success criteria of a feature group. You’ll also partner with others to identify short-term investment opportunities and collaborate with partners to garner support for that feature group.You will demonstrate ability to define a feature set and will facilitate usability reviews with customers. You’ll start to own a portion of the roadmap for a feature group, and will organize scenario walkthroughs to identify problems.You will partner with Product Marketing teams by helping build marketing, roll-out, and customer support plans. You’ll also promote the group of features you worked on and co-present at large events.You will partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses to incrementally improve product development in specific areas. You’ll also begin to manage customer communities and build trust with targeted customers.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

OR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of experience in product/service/project/program management

OR software developmentOR eqivalent experience.2+ year experience in operating production supercomputersFamiliarity with RoCE v2, InfiniBand, UCX, MPI, and distributed memory compute workloads.Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
