Description
Come help build the next evolution in Xbox Game Compatibility. Join the Xbox Platform team and leverage your passion for gaming to advance the future of Game Preservation. Your work will help identify and outline the specific requirements and technical boundaries for preserving game content, build scalable emulation solutions, and ensure a fun gameplay experience for all players. Our technology solutions are a critical part of enabling the Xbox goal of allowing players to experience their games across devices.The Product Manager II, Game Preservation is tasked with managing every aspect of partner relations for game preservation, from liaison between development teams from game studios and the game preservation engineers to leading technical discussions with archivists and internal libraries. This position requires effective communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, diligent follow-through, and the ability to manage a high volume of responsibilities efficiently.
The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences in the game preservation and exploring innovation in gaming. They should feel comfortable sitting in technical discussions and excel in navigating ambiguity and change, and embrace continuous learning and a growth mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Developer Advocacy: Gather developer feedback, coordinate team resources to address issues, identify solutions, and drive engineering progress.
Develop Product Subject Matter Expertise: Proactively address complex features or solution-related requests or issues from developers or partners, manage customer expectations and resolve issues. Serve as a reliable point of contact for engineers and developers by facilitating a clear and effective communication pipeline.
Collaboration with External/Internal Stakeholders: Build strategic relationships with developers and internal stakeholders to ensure the best game preservation offering for customers. Collaborate with various Microsoft organizations to lead internal cooperation. Embody our Culture & Values
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.Experience in project or program management, technology services, or consulting.Experience in strategic account or stakeholder management, end-to-end project or program execution, and delivering presentations and communications.Experience in game emulation, content preservation, or digital archiving.
Preferred Qualifications:
Storytelling skills with data Basic understanding of business operations, legal matters and regulatory requirements in the gaming industry Technical trouble shooting skills Escalation management skills Passion for consumer products, gaming, or the entertainment business
Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
