Description
The Azure CoreAI team is hiring a Principal Product Manager to drive the strategy and growth for Content Understanding, a newly launched Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) service. This high-impact role focuses on enabling document scenarios across industries, helping customers extract structured insights from unstructured content at scale.As a Principal Product Manager, you will define product vision, identify emerging trends, and drive product-led growth in collaboration with engineering, research, design, and go-to-market teams. Drive building world-class AI application stacks that will delight enterprises and developers, delivering proven business results.Own a product area and be responsible for understanding developer needs and behaviors, defining product requirements, managing end-to-end product development, launches and iterations.Enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-first, product development cycle.Translate business goals into strategy, user experience and technical requirements in close collaboration with UX, Data Science, Engineering, AI research, and Product Marketing teams.Define goals and performance indicators, set up and oversee experiments, measure success with data and research.Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to build exceptional consumer-grade applications. Engage with customers and partners to validate hypotheses, gather feedback, and evangelize the product vision. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product management, software development, or related fieldsOR equivalent experience.Experience launching and scaling AI-powered products, ideally in software as a service (SaaS) or Cloud based services.Experience building products and solutions on Azure AI, OpenAI, or other GenAI platforms. Experience with prototyping new ideas and managing the idea-to-feature lifecycle.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven technical acumen and ability to collaborate deeply with engineering and research teams. Familiarity with document processing, natural language processing (NLP), Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) or knowledge mining technologies. Background in enterprise software as a service (SaaS) or platform product management. Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.MBA or advanced technical degree.
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
