Description

Overview

Are you driven by curiosity and excited by emerging technology? Do you enjoy tinkering, exploring how things work, and turning ideas into tangible experiences? If you like bringing concepts to life through thoughtful design, storytelling, and early prototypes, this role is for you.

The Agent and Copilot Accelerated Experiences Design team is looking for a Product Designer II who thinks end to end and enjoys making ideas real. You bring together design fundamentals, technical curiosity, and creative experimentation. You are comfortable shaping interactions in Figma, prototyping concepts, and exploring how AI can transform workflows and user experiences.

In this role, you will balance two core modes of work. You will rapidly ideate and explore concepts, building demos that inspire future and current design directions. You will also partner closely with feature teams to understand existing experiences, uncover gaps, and help create more delightful, engaging solutions. The work is largely self-directed, while remaining deeply collaborative with your design peers and cross-functional partners.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will interact with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and executive stakeholders to define, iterate, and implement new and existing product features, ensuring alignment with business, technical, and user requirements.  You will work with user researchers to coordinate testing efforts, interpret test results, and incorporate results into design efforts. Participate in and contribute to foundational research. Compelling Communication & Storytelling: Start with the problem and requirements, then clearly articulate how and why design concepts and decisions solve that problem. You will share recommended solutions to cross functional partners and stakeholders, articulating design rationale clearly and effectively.   You will frequently be working with other teams who have limited context and competing priorities. Product thinking: Enthusiastically seeking to understand the broader context in which a product exists, including its users, market, and business goals. This means going beyond visual craft to consider how design decisions impact user experience, drive business outcomes, and solve real-world problems.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service designOR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)Experience designing and prototyping in FigmaPreferred Qualifications:
