Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. Build user experiences that are driven by user needs, jobs-to-be-done (JTBD framework), and business needs.Work closely with developers and program managers to bring designs to life within technical and performance constraints.Collaborate with designers to maintain consistency across experiences.Partner with researchers to plan, interpret, and apply user testing insights.Communicate and document design direction clearly for team members, leadership, and stakeholders.Contribute to the growth of an established, successful design team.Thrive in an international team with effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design

OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design

o OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency with Figma and design systems with an understanding of rapid prototyping.Proficient command of all aspects and levels of interaction/UX design from information architecture, to design systems and workflows to micro-interactions.Knowledge and experience with user experiences for technical personas – using code/no code, data or analytics tools.Experience working within and contributing to a structured design system.Proficient organizational skills and an attention to detail.

Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
