Within Microsoft's Business & Industry Copilot (BIC), we're pioneering the next generation of low‑code and no‑code solutions – empowering anyone to build powerful applications without deep technical expertise.
Our design studio plays a critical role in shaping how people interact with AI to bring their ideas to life as real, production‑quality applications. As a Product Designer 2, you'll help craft experiences that enable users to generate, configure, and deploy applications using AI assistance – quickly, independently, and with confidence.
This role sits at the intersection of AI, UX, and Engineering. You'll collaborate with a highly skilled, cross‑functional team to design intuitive interactions that make intelligent capabilities understandable and usable. We're particularly interested in designers who are curious about how AI can augment the design process itself, exploring emerging workflows to build intuitive product experiences.

Responsibilities
Design user‑centered experiences across the entire product lifecycle – from early concepts to shipped features.Design how Copilot assists users in building applications in ways that are clear, understandable, and keep users in control.Translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive interaction models that help users create, edit, and deploy applications with confidence.Rapidly explore and prototype ideas using modern design tools – including AI‑assisted tools – to experiment, validate concepts, and learn quickly.Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to iterate on solutions and ensure feasibility and usability.Create clear design outputs – including flows, prototypes, and lightweight specifications – that communicate intent and support efficient implementation.Apply visual and interaction design principles to ensure usability, accessibility, and coherence across experiences.Use research insights and product feedback to refine designs and improve outcomes for users.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience shipping products or features through an end‑to‑end design process.OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).Preferred Qualifications:
Comfort working in emerging or ambiguous product areas where interaction patterns are still evolving.Experience using AI tools to accelerate prototyping, exploration, or other parts of the design workflow.Curiosity about how emerging technologies can enhance user experiences in practical, human‑centered ways. #UX #UXDesign #UXJobs #ProductDesign #BICJobs #ExperienceStudio #Design
Product Design IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
