The Commercial Solutions Area, Chief Technology Office (CSA CTO) is a global team that works across customer-facing and product teams to accelerate scalable wins by removing technical blockers and simplifying seller experience across the Enterprise sales cycle. CSA CTO creates repeatable gold standard solution accelerators to simplify seller experience.

Position Description:
As the Senior Principal, Technical Program Management Manager focused on Solution Accelerators will lead a team of technical program/product managers to capture, standardize, and govern customer patterns and prioritize resourcing to deliver Sustainability and SaaS Copilot outcomes. Your team will enable sellers with trusted technical assets grounded in data driven customer patterns, for Sustainability, Biz Apps Copilots, and multi-Copilot solutions. You will onboard, strengthen, and synthesize product solutions that accelerate commercial sales and delivery motions. You will drive connections across teams and workstreams to boost our sales cycle end-to-end.
Your team will collaborate deeply with leaders across the Commercial Solution Areas to infuse a culture of reuse across the organization and prioritize solution strategies that are grounded in validated customer, engineering, and delivery team proof points. Your team will be uniquely positioned to connect solution truth and go-to-market (GTM) approach across sales team hand-offs, accelerating the sales cycle for priority areas. You have extensive experience driving executive consensus and support and maximizing impact through Microsoft’s executive leadership team.
You are at home with a product management toolset and leverage your experience collecting customer requirements to shape corporate sales strategy. Your team will also be accountable for driving consistent and high quality OKRs across the team, and data-driven decision-making. You are not intimidated by technology and model proactive curiosity about emerging technologies’ functionalities and limitations.
You are a proficient cross-functional team leader who drives action and alignment by cultivating relationships with senior management and managing across functional teams. Critical skills include aggregating customer trends and needs (where customers are both internal sellers AND external end product users), driving consensus across cross-functional teams with disparate priorities, creating clarity and efficiency in engineering and design production processes, and building technical products and assets that simplify the path to AI transformation.
You recognize and leverage the work of others to synthesize common best practices and facilitate sharing or replicating those best practices across teams and orgs. You practice active listening to identify the highest impact strategic priorities for CSA CTO’s ‘product’ roadmap, which serves account sales, specialist sales, customer success and delivery teams.

Build team culture that thrives in ambiguity, where we support each other through quickly evolving customer needs, priorities and strategies with empathy and a growth mindset.In tandem with CSA CTO’s production team (including engineers and designers), coach your team to act as product owners to set the strategy to develop scalable, deployable, and reusable assets including customer-facing solution decks, engineering-validated solution architectures, one-click-deploy Github environments, and more for Sustainability, Biz Apps Copilots, and multi-Copilot solutions.Standardize a quality bar and approach to creating programs within CTO that are grounded in 1) cross-org and cross-functional collaboration, and 2) validated customer priorities, validated solution architectures, and validated delivery proof points.Connect across Commercial Solution Areas to unite the entire Microsoft sales organization around a prioritized and aligned industry GTM strategy grounded in solution truth, for Sustainability, Biz Apps Copilots, and multi-Copilot solutions.Inventory resources and assets available to sellers, analyze best practices, and reconcile incongruities to streamline approach and consistency of the customer’s experience receiving GTM materials and reusable intellectual property (IP).Centralize best practices for your team to drive cross-team alignment that represents the needs of customers, the field, and delivery teams through effective liaising with engineering, marketing, and corporate functions.Secure buy-in from senior leadership for vision and strategy for CTO deliverables (e.g. product, service). Leads teams to collaborate to gain buy in and alignment.Provide thought leadership and earn a reputation to be sought out to address questions and challenges from group managers and other leaders.Embody our Culture and Values

Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos). 10+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 6+ years people management experience. 3+ years of experience in commercial go-to-market strategy and/or sales3+ years of experience working closely with product and engineering teams to shape business strategyTechnical Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
