The Influence team delivers training, content, advocacy, and education to our network of Microsoft retail partners and their sellers.As the Partner Marketing Influence (Training) Lead, Surface, you will play a pivotal role in developing the Surface-specific storytelling and sales motion which is then deployed to training materials & vehicles for the Surface product category. You will design comprehensive learning plans to enhance the skills and knowledge of our partner sales professionals and field labor teams. Leading and coordinating marketing stakeholder groups, gathering and analyzing business insights, and implementing content gamification to boost participation and motivation will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will conduct data and performance analysis and ensure financial accuracy and accountability in budget management.
In this role, developing and updating seasonal training bill of materials (BOM) for partner sales pros, including product guides, training decks, online learning plans, and sales strategies, will be essential. You will develop an editorial calendar of content, working closely with the content creation team, to produce top-tier sales training assets for Surface, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives. Additionally, designing and implementing comprehensive Learning Plans to enhance seller product knowledge and foster brand loyalty will be a significant part of your responsibilities.
Leading and coordinating Surface marketing stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment of business priorities with retail pro training and consumer influence content, will be crucial. You will gather and analyze key business insights from partner sellers and field labor teams, providing regular WOTS (word-on-the-street) reports. Enhancing the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of Microsoft field labor teams through targeted training programs and workshops will be another important responsibility.
You will conduct thorough data and performance analysis of Surface training initiatives and field landing to identify areas for improvement and optimize training effectiveness. Additionally, implementing content gamification and diversifying engagement mechanics to enhance participation and motivation among field labor teams and partner sales pros will be key. Ensuring consistent compliance in purchase order (PO) management, budget management, and expense reporting to maintain financial accuracy and accountability will also be part of your role.

Training and Development

Foster and support the community of Master Trainers, providing ongoing development and engagement opportunities. Develop and enhance audience capability by focusing on essential skills required for effective training and engagement. Content Creation and Management
Adapt product marketing content & messaging to develop retail-specific messaging and support the sales motion. Develop an editorial calendar of content for both retail professionals and consumer audiences, working closely with the content creation team, to produce top-tier training assets for Surface, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives. Implement content gamification and diversify engagement mechanics to enhance participation and motivation among field labor teams and partner sales pros. Integrate and optimize Surface training within the suite of Partner Experiences, coordinating with store experience working groups for seamless execution. Strategic Planning and Coordination
Position Surface as the ultimate expression of Microsoft's integrated hardware and software, highlighting its unique value proposition. Contribute to Surface launch planning and rhythm of business (RoB) planning. Lead and coordinate Surface marketing stakeholder groups, ensuring alignment of business priorities with retail pro training and consumer influence content. Work closely with Silicon partners to create differentiation and product clarity, ensuring a unique and clear product positioning. Impact Analysis and Compliance

Qualifications
Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ sales, marketing, Training/Learning & Development, Field Labor management,OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of marketing industry experience preferably in the retail space with experience managing product categories and a complex sales motion. Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 6+ years sales, marketing, or business development experience Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience OR equivalent experience. Ability to deliver 'Train the Trainer' (TTT) content and training sessions focused on Surface to global audiences Proven experience in developing and delivering training and learning programs. Solid understanding of current learning methodologies and training delivery. Collaboration and communication skills. Ability to innovate within training and marketing assets to create new impact. Experience managing budgets and working with agencies and contract staff. Proficiency in using data and analytics to assess program effectiveness. Partner Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
