Overview

As part of the Americas Global Partner Solutions (GPS) Services Team, the Partner Development Manager (PDM) is responsible for managing our largest partners in Canada. Our goal is to grow revenue and build a long-term, profitable business with our most strategic partners. This role reports directly to the Canadian Global Partner Solutions Services General Manager. The Senior Partner Development Manager (PDM) role requires close collaboration with the Canadian enterprise commercial and regulated industries field sales teams, the Worldwide (WW) Global Partner Solutions Team, the Go-To-Market team, the Sell-With team, and the technical enablement team in both Canada and the United States (US). The candidate must have deep experience influencing strategic relationships within partnerships to achieve results across the Americas region. The ideal candidate is a strong seller who can set culture, establish strategy, and drive organizational alignment within their focused partners. This individual has a deep understanding of our technology, can assess new opportunities, and develop innovative, breakthrough approaches to translate those opportunities into revenue.

Responsibilities

Drive Revenue Growth

100% attainment on key performance indicators and driving all Microsoft product growth and partner practice enablement Overall single point of contact and relationship owner Build trust and executive relationships with Microsoft Canada, US and WW senior leadership and corresponding partner leadership teams Evangelize partner solutions with the Canadian Microsoft field sales teams and clearly articulating the partner’s value propositions to the Microsoft teams to foster proactive engagement with Channel Management and Field sellers Review pipeline and drive opportunity velocity with our field Partner Satisfaction: Ensure strong business relationship and understanding of partner’s needs identifying clear conditions, accountability, progress measurement and timelines

Integrate Partner with Field Sales Teams

Partner with Channel Management & relevant field roles to deliver field execution ready Partner sales plays to deliver Microsoft wins and ACR impact Integrate partners with Microsoft field resources across the field to jointly account plan and close new business together. Measure and manage Partner’s success against metrics to maximize win-win results and strategic partner investments

Rhythm of the Business:

Disciplined Business Management: Responsible for contributing to monthly Business Reviews that provides a consistent and predictable Rhythm of the Business (ROB). Drive Quarterly Business Review and other ROBs to track progress against goals and commitments; Collaborate for revenue and scorecard impact through evangelizing partner value to Microsoft stakeholders & customers

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Operations, Computer Science or a related field AND 8+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experienceOR equivalent experience.8+ years of experience in partner channel development or client, sales, business development, alliance management in the technology industry Additional or preferred qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration, Business Science, or an advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or a related field AND 10+ years experience in partner management, sales, business development, or partner channel development in the technology industry or related experienceOR equivalent experience.Proven background in managing cross-functional teams (marketing, technical and sales) The ability to influence and impact executives in partner organizations Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences. Strong teamwork skills are also required to successfully work in what is a highly matrixed environment. Inclusive and collaborative - driving teamwork and cross-team alignment Bachelor’s degree required (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA desired.

Partner Development Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $142,800 - CAD $214,900 per year.
