Microsoft Business Operations is responsible for the launch, deploy, and transact and optimization activities for all programs supporting the Consumer & Commercial organizations out of Microsoft鈥檚 Operations Service Centre (OSC). The OSC (under Microsoft Business operations) supports field engagement and regional revenue processing and strives to be the trusted advisors to our stakeholders delivering value to both Microsoft and our Customers.

The Cloud Services Operation team (CSO) is a function within the OSC responsible for accurate and compliant processing of credit transactions and fulfilment of non-standard contractual obligations for our most strategic customers.

We are hiring an Operations Program Manager to join the team of talented operations professionals, in a mission critical role accountable for:

路 Managing lifecycle of contractual credit programs enabling cloud revenue acceleration

路 Engaging with key stakeholders to scope and plan custom credit programs

路 Optimizing and scaling program execution in the event of large-scale cloud outages and other customer impacting events.

In this role, candidates will lead the end-to-end execution of custom credit programs and associated initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and timely delivery across multiple stakeholders. This role is pivotal in managing complex credit/discount structures, contract amendments, and lifecycle obligations while driving alignment between engineering, finance, operations, and partner teams.

The ideal candidate is an experienced program manager, comfortable working in a high pace environment and exhibits strong organizational planning, communication skills, has experience with working with uses data and analytics and has strong customer obsession and compliance focus.

Responsibilities

Program Planning & Governance

路 Own the program execution roadmap for special credits and amendments, including critical path deliverables and timelines.

路 Establish governance frameworks to monitor compliance, credit issuance accuracy, and partner eligibility.

Stakeholder Management

路 Coordinate across Deal Desk, CELA, Account Teams, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to ensure seamless execution of contract amendments and billing processes.

路 Serve as the primary liaison for partner communications and escalation management.

Operational Execution

路 Drive end-to-end process design and lock, including manual credit workflows for CSP transactions where system automation is unavailable.

路 Implement monitoring mechanisms to track anomalies and prevent unauthorized affiliate crediting.

路 Drive continuous process improvements via analysis and identification of opportunities with a global consideration.

路 Deliver on opportunities to integrate AI within credit processes to reduce manual work, remove risks and enable scalable processes in line with business growth.

Risk & Compliance

路 Ensure adherence to compliance standards and audit requirements for special pricing programs.

路 Mitigate risks associated with manual processes and compressed execution timelines

Performance & Reporting

路 Track KPIs such as credit accuracy, turnaround time, and partner satisfaction.

路 Provide regular status updates and risk assessments to leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum / Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications

路 Proven experience in program management within cloud or CSP environments.

路 Demonstrated understanding of contracting processes, billing operations, and partner programs.

路 Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive alignment under tight timelines.

路 Expertise in risk management, compliance frameworks, and operational controls.

路 Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

路 Familiarity with Microsoft CSP programs, and special pricing models

路 Experience with financial operations, including credit issuance and revenue recognition.

路 Knowledge of Azure migration programs and partner-led solutions.

Business Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
