OverviewMicrosoft Copilot is redefining how people work, and voice is central to making Copilot feel human, trustworthy, and delightful. We’re looking for a systems-minded Senior Motion Designer to help shape the future of AI-powered experiences within Microsoft Copilot across voice, screen, and vision modalities. You’ll design intuitive, inclusive, and delightful interactions, working at the intersection of UX, AI, and multimodal interaction.
The M365 Core Design Studio is a global, multidisciplinary team at Microsoft dedicated to bringing humanity to AI experiences. We design intelligent, human-centered solutions that seamlessly integrate into people’s lives and transform how they find, ask, and do across Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team of Producers, Designers, Writers, Video Artists, and Motion DesignersCreate style frames and execute the motion design for product experiences and videosBring products to life with design system components and expressive UX motion designCurate, create, and animate imagery, iconography, composition, color and voice into dynamic communications for presentations, decks, and motion piecesWork closely with design and product owners across Microsoft AI to create product explorations, showcasing our experiences to internal and external audiencesSimplify complex ideas into easy-to-understand stories (data visualization, concept maps, storyboards, etc.)Contribute to and reflect the vibrant and inclusive team culture in the works you create.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service designOR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service designOR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).Additional Requirements:
All application submissions must include a digital portfolio showcasing diverse motion work, from UX to creative 2D and 3D animation.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with software/tech production teamsProfessional working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premier Pro, After Effects and Photoshop) and Cinema 4DExperience using Figma and design systems to generate and export assets into your workflowPrototyping experience using such tools as Figma and ProtopieExcellent interpersonal skills with a growth mindsetAn ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environmentAttention to detail, problem solving, creative, and communication skillsAn ability to work quickly, efficiently and to a tight deadlineA passion for working as part of a team and building great products that delight customersA drive for excellence and self-motivation, self-direction, and independenceAn interest in using new AI technologies for high quality storytelling
Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
