Description

Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) are a global network of premier technical and instructional experts who deliver official Microsoft courseware and drive customer skilling worldwide. The MCT program is a foundational pillar of Microsoft’s learning ecosystem, enabling transformative learning experiences across industries and regions.

As the MCT Program Leader, you will drive the strategic direction, operational excellence, and measurable impact of the program. This includes aligning the MCT program with Microsoft’s broader skilling and certification strategy, optimizing delivery models, growth of the Community, and ensuring program scalability and compliance. You will collaborate across Learning Products, Training Services Partner team, and internal learning teams to elevate the value of the MCT program, build scalable processes and tools, and foster a vibrant, inclusive trainer ecosystem.

This role is ideal for a seasoned program manager and passionate community builder with deep expertise in technical training, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning. You will champion initiatives that elevate instructional excellence, enhance trainer experience, and foster a vibrant, inclusive global community of Microsoft Certified Trainers.

Program Enablement & Infrastructure

Develop and operationalize scalable frameworks, tools, and processes that support the end-to-end lifecycle of MCTs—from onboarding and enablement to ongoing development and recognition. Establish infrastructure that reinforces instructional and technical excellence across the global MCT community, ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s skilling and certification strategy. Implement data-driven mechanisms to monitor program health, trainer satisfaction, and engagement trends—leveraging insights to inform strategic decisions, optimize program delivery, and continuously improve trainer experience. Community Strategy & Engagement

Develop and execute a global strategy to grow, energize, and support the MCT community. Facilitate feedback loops between MCTs and internal teams to continuously improve program offerings. Lead community forums, webinars, and events to foster connection, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with internal teams (Learning Lab, Learning Product, Certification etc.) to align MCT initiatives with Microsoft’s skilling goals. Represent the voice of the MCT community in cross-functional planning and decision-making. Collaborate with Microsoft Training Services Partner team to ensure consistent and high-quality trainer experiences. Operational Excellence

Manage program communications, updates, and documentation to ensure clarity and consistency. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline trainer support and program operations. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to community growth, engagement, and trainer development. Leadership Communication & Alignment

Engage regularly with senior leaders and stakeholders to provide updates on community health, program impact, and strategic priorities. Prepare and deliver executive-level communications, reports, and presentations that highlight key insights and recommendations. Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

Master's Degree or equivalent AND/OR 3+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, quota management, human resources (HR), customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management OR Vocational qualification or higher education degree (e.g., Bachelor's Degree) AND/OR 5+ years experience in Learning and Development, relevant technical roles, business development, field or sales, HR, customer success, collection management, research/restoration evaluation, industry, or program/project management OR equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience in technical training, community management, program operations, or stakeholder engagement. Experience with Microsoft certification programs and the MCT ecosystem. Experience communicating with senior leaders and stakeholders, including preparing updates, reports, and presentations that inform strategic decisions. Experience with change management with communities, leaders and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with global trainer communities or partner ecosystems. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influence without authority. Experience with learning, inclusion, and community building. Integrated Learning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
