Description
OverviewAs a Member of Technical Staff-Growth Strategy & Analytics Manager on the Microsoft AI, Copilot team, you will build, optimize, and scale growth campaigns across Microsoft ecosystem surfaces (Windows, Edge, Bing, Office, Teams, etc.) to efficiently drive new user acquisition and engagement.
You will partner with product, design, and engineering teams to develop and test new entry points, notifications, and creative user flows and will be responsible for conducting ongoing performance reviews across channels, partners, geographies, and product surfaces to identify growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
Investigate metrics movements, especially Weekly Active Users (WAU) to understand week‑on‑week shifts, diagnose root causes, and recommend corrective actions.Develop user and engagement level forecastsDevelop growth-oriented metrics and strategies for product teams to drive user engagementPartner with marketing and other teams to build, optimize, and scale growth campaigns across Microsoft ecosystem surfaces (Windows, Edge, Bing, Office, Teams, etc.) to efficiently drive new user acquisition and engagement.Ideate and execute A/B tests to continually improve funnel conversion, retention, and WAU impact.Analyze usage trends and community behavior to surface insights that inform product strategy and growth experiments.Closely monitor how initiatives impact topline KPIs such as WAU, retention, and adoption across Microsoft platforms.Work hand‑in‑hand with data science colleagues to deeply understand user engagement, attribution, and lifetime value.Present results, learnings, and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing Copilot’s growth roadmap.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years’ experience in product management OR equivalent experience.1+ year(s) people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in growth, performance marketing, analytics, or a quantitative role (e.g., data, finance, strategy, consulting) with a focus in technology or consumer products.Experience using SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau).Hands‑on experience running acquisition campaigns across multiple channels (search, display, social, influencer, partnerships).Experience collaborating with external agencies to design and optimize creative across channels and geographies.Experience managing multiple growth levers (notifications, email, in‑product prompts).Experience building forecasting models such as lifetime value, retention, and WAU projections.Understanding of digital marketing attribution models and experimentation frameworks.
Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
